God of War... one of the most renowed action game series in the recent years... and as weird as this may seem, I don't get why, but at the same time, I do.

I do, because let's face it... people like to see their TV screens filled with blood and guts. And that's precisely what God of War delivers. And let's be honest: gore or no gore, this series does deserve it's praise, when it comes to visuals. And the soundtrack's pretty cool, too.

I don't, because... that's all there is to it! The story is nothing but an excuse for Kratos to kill anything and anyone, the gameplay is your average hack-and-slash with quick-time events slapped in, and the puzzles are laughable.

Also, am I the only one to find the gods of the Olympus to be the biggest dumbshits ever? The whole series feels too forced, if you ask me. I simply can't see how these guys can lose to a human with steroids.

Then again, these are the same gods who allowed a mortal to steal a torch from 'em, granting all mortals the ability to use fire. Greek mithology can make ya scratch your head a couple of times too many, huh?

Keep in mind, I don't find the games bad! In short, it's a somewhat decent action series with pretty graphics. But that's about it. Or at least that's how I see it.

You know, while I'm at it... this all reminds me of the recent Conan movie. Lot'sa blood flying around, but no real substance. It's predictable, forced, and boring. That's probably how a God of War movie would look like, if ya ask me.

And that'll be it, for now. Seeya next time!
